Hello!  The man you see here is Kealoha Crytser, a legally Deaf man living in Omaha.

He recently gave up his 2nd vehicle in less than a year, and his first vehicle that he had ever registered in his name in his whole life.  The vehicle that he gave up was a 2005 Dodge Caravan, which he was financing from a dealership known for $300 down vehicles, but he did not realize that the van would have multiple mechanical issues due to the dealership failing to disclose the issues.

When the mechanical issues began piling up, so did the expenses.  He figured he would save money by surrendering the vehicle to the dealership scrap yard, and look for another vehicle.

He is on disability to his bipolar affective disorder and bilateral hearing loss.  He is also going through trauma therapy, which is expected to take many years until he can restore himself.

Kealoha is a very kind man.  He goes out of his way to help those in need of transportation.  One instance, while he was at his former volunteer job, a man came to him saying that he had missed the homeless shelter's ride to get medications, and upon further discussion, Kealoha had learned that the man badly needed his blood pressure medications.  Kealoha agreed to transport the man after the close of the business day and took him to the pharmacy.  The man was able to get his medicines before the weekend, which the pharmacy would be closed.  The man told Kealoha that if he had not gotten his medications, he would have most likely ended up in the hospital with blood pressure complications.

Kealoha has been through so much in his life, enduring physical abuse from his step-father, and he is a survivor of same-sex sexual abuse.  He was also bullied in school because of his hearing loss.  Kealoha has faced adversity throughout his life, and is you were to see the battle scars on his spirit, his spirit would be completely covered in them.

His goal with a vehicle, is to reunite with his Deaf uncle in Des Moines, Iowa, which he last saw in 7 years, and to try to reunite with his estranged mother, also in Iowa, who he last saw when he was 17 years old.

Some of his transportation dreams, is to travel to the New England States during the peak autumn foliage, and take puzzle and magazine-worthy photos.  He also wants to attend an Atlanta Braves game and also watch the San Francisco 49ers play in Santa Clara.

Most importantly, he wants to be able to find work.  Having a vehicle will give him better job opportunities.

He always has believed that when people give, they help change a lot.  He also plans to repay the kindness once he has his own vehicle.

Thank you for your donations to help Kealoha!
