Karr Band Goes to London

According to England's Lord Mayor of Winchester Catherine Longworth , the British have become "addicted" to American marching bands. The Edna Karr Marching Band will try to feed that addiction by bringing our unique, New Orleans-style marching band to London for the New Year's Eve parade that will be televised to more than 2 billion people.
We perform in an energetic and passionate manner that features brass band breakouts, dancing, and sometimes singing. We are raising funds to send our entire band to London to perform in front of the London's finest. We have already raised more than $100,000 for our airfare, but we need to raise the remaining $70,000 to send our entire band to London.
Despite having a population of students that receive discounted or free lunch, we have been ranked among the nation's best high schools. TOP NATIONAL SCHOOL
Most of our students have never left the country and this would be an amazing opportunity for them to learn about London and for the Brits to learn about our music.
