Justice for baby Ryker
Dear friends, my name is Lauren MacLeod and I am the aunt to a beautiful little boy named Ryker MacLeod. On April 19th 2017, I was contacted by Hinesville, Georiga child protective services and notified that Ryker (3 years old) was currently in foster care and there will be a court hearing for his wellfare the next day. I was told there were allegations of abuse against the biological mother and her wife, but nothing prepard me for the reported DCF findings.
My husband and I drove 425 miles overnight from our home in Florida to Hinesville Georiga so we could attend the hearing. There we learned of the horrible allegations of abuse which prompted DCF to take him into their care. They are so terrible, I was prevented by gofundme guidelines to list them here.
In approximately 10 days time, another hearing will be held in Georiga regarding Ryker. At that time, it is mine and my husbands hope to petition the courts in order to begin the process of gaining custody of our sweet Ryker. We are doing everything in our power as well, to make sure that the biological mother and her wife are held accountable to the FULL EXTENT of the law. Both are currently enjoying their lives in freedom. Neither have been criminally charged for the abuse against my nephew.
My husband and I wish to provide Ryker with a loving, caring and healing home. We have two beautiful daughters of our own, who adore and love him and will be a tremendus benefit to his healing, and stability. However, right now our immediate concern is removing him from foster care and keeping him out of the hands of his abusers.
It is our hope, that if you are reading this, you share our desperate concern for baby Ryker. Our need for immediate funds to obtain a lawyer, is desperate. Without a lawyer to help guide us through the foster care process and guardianship requirements, we have little to no hope in saving Ryker from his situation. This will only in turn, put him back into the hands of his abusers. Your help will go DIRECTLY towards obtaining legal representation, and seeking justice for baby Ryker.
