Juan "Juanito" Gutierrez Memorial Fund

Juan Gutierrez passed away Wednesday June 19th 2019. 

At work, Juan was a dedicated colleague that would do anything for his team. He was the light of our kitchen and lead his team daily, making us all laugh but always pushing us to do better than the day before. His work ethic was second to none. Juan always said he loved Specialty’s because it gave him the opportunity to grow and he always wanted to see that from his team. You could see his dedication from the way he ran his kitchen. Juanito’s impact on us will forever be in our hearts.

While he was an amazing coworker, he was an even better family man. He leaves behind 4 children and his wife, his youngest only 11 months old. Whenever I asked him what he did over the weekend he would tell me about how he spent his weekend with his kids. He loved all his children so much and one of the reasons he loved working at Specialty’s was it allowed him to spend time with his family. He was a father who would do anything for his children and valued his time with them, even if it was just helping them with homework or taking them to the park.

Since Juan was the sole breadwinner for his family, we are looking to raise money to help with funeral costs but we are hoping to raise more for his family. His family needs us more than ever right now. Maria’s oldest son is severely handicapped and needs her attention 24/7 which means she can’t work. On top of losing her husband, I can’t imagine the fear she must be feeling right now of how to support her kids.
