I have created a place here at gofundme for family, friends, and aquaintenances (who have a desire to do so) to donate funds on behalf of my brother Jonathan Smoak. He is a self-employed photographer, currently residing in Bogota, Colombia. He recently started building his grassroots photography business, including a public page, "Personajes de Bogota", a private portrait studio, and more, which has taken off to a slow but good start with great potential to grow. He was obtaining new clients and his name has gained recognition through the local press.
Unfortunately, a few weeks ago during a photoshoot for "Personajes de Bogota", he was violently assaulted by three thieves carrying butcher knives and robbed of his camera and personal belongings in a nearby park. Tragically, the police will do nothing and he has no means of income at the moment. His camera was his primary means of income, as work has been extremely difficult to find.
If you know my brother and the struggle he has endured financially in order to provide for his children, and would like to give a donation toward this cause, it is so greatly appreciated.
