Project Details:
My name is John and I am doing an Eagle Project for the Westfield Parks Department in Indiana. My troop does a lot of service projects for our community, especially for the Westfield Parks Department.
Dilemma: Recently, however, we have run into the problem of finding a campsite that is nearby our town. Knowing this problem, the Westfield Parks Department decided to buy a piece of land that the community and the Boy Scouts could camp on. This was bought as a thank you for all the work our troop has done for them in the past. This land is also now home to several Eagle Projects, one of them being mine.
Solution: I am building a deck on the side the pond on the property. I need to raise approximately $1,400 in order to fund my project. When finished, I will have a deck and ramp (built for injured or disabled visitors) built next to the pond. I am building the deck so visitors can view the wildlife in and around the pond. I am raising the money so I can buy the lumber, concrete, screws, and other materials needed for the project.
I need to raise the money by Saturday, April 30th. This will give me enough time to buy the materials and get the area set for building by Saturday, May 14th.
