Funding my volunteer trip to Fiji

Hi Everyone,
Asking for help has never been easy for me. It's always been way easier for me to offer help to other people than to request it. But I'm asking right now, because I have a great opportunity in front of me, and I need your help to make it work.
HELP International, a global nonprofit volunteer organization, is taking me to Fiji this summer to participate in their volunteer program.
Many people think of Fiji as a location for a beachside getaway, but the people who call those islands home could benefit from your generosity. A huge portion of Fiji's population, over 250,000 people, live at or below the poverty line. Many people live in rural communities on the tiny islands that make up much of Fiji and it's been a struggle to get adequate health services, educational opportunities, and infrastructure to these areas.
The work that HELP International does is centered around building sustainable improvements in developing communities. Ultimately, the goal is to equip local people with tools and resources so that after volunteers return home, the communities can continue to improve themselves. In the past, HELP volunteers have helped develop schools, done public health campaigns and taught valuable business skills to locals.
Every cent I raise will go directly to HELP International. I'm calling on your generosity to help to cover the program fees while I'm there. HELP provides us with room and board and links us up with locals to figure out the most beneficial projects to a community.
At the end of the day, I'm not raising this money for me. It takes a lot of resources to maintain a global nonprofit organization, and these hardworking people will make good use of your donations. A lot of it will be used to support the volunteer programs, and the rest goes directly to helping communities worldwide.
Any and all contributions will be helpful. I need to meet my goal by July 20th, and even the smallest bit of generosity will mean a lot to me. I need help from compassionate people who want to help improve lives.
I plan on learning as much as possible from the people of Fiji while I'm there, and I'll share everything I learn on my blog so that you can learn with me. I'll also be raising funds while I'm there, so you'll be able to see through my posts exactly what you are supporting.
