Research for Jace's Unknown Disease

The picture in the cover and the little boy in the hospital bed are one in the same. His name is Jace and he is the son of my friend. He has a rare sensory condition and the doctors in Houston cannot figure out what is causing it, and therefore can't do anything to help him. His mom is a wonderful mother and has taken him to all kind of ENT (Ear/Nose/Throat) specialists, dermatologists etc. trying to find out what is wrong but his symptoms are not consistant with anything in the text books. He is hyper sensitive to noise, so he cannot usually go out to eat with his family and cannot participate in most activities that little boys his age do because the sounds are so much louer to him, and it causes him to have a break down/shut down. He develops strange rashes that spread for weeks then mysteriously dissappear. His mother has found a doctor who will devote a lot of her time to Jace-study his DNA at length, provide several follow up visits etc  but the family's insurance does not cover this doctor. The family is living paycheck to paycheck. I would love to be able to help them with this so it would be one less thing for them to worry about and hopefully they can get some answers.
Please help Jace to get well soon! I want this to be a surprise so if you know Jace or his family, please don't say anything until the money has been raised. I would like to be able to give his family a card signed by all the donors if I can figure out how.
