Hurricane Maria Relief Effort

"San Juan, the Northwest territory of the main island are devastated, as we hear about. Vieques and Calebra were hit first by the storm with even greater impact than the main island. They are not getting much press and therefore will be the last to get attention. I fear they may starve." -Rene Ayala 

This heartfelt message and plea for help was sent to one of our Fraternity Brothers, who is Family to the Ayala Family. The Ayala's is a big family consisting of 3 sons, 1 daughter and other immediate family members that all live in a tightknit community. 

The Charlotte Lambdas of Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity Inc. are using our resources to help this family and its community. We will be there voice and make sure they are not forgotten about, but helped. Right now we are collecting goods to send over like; Condensed milk, tuna packets, beef jerky, Pre-made rice packets, spam, nuts, peanut butter, torillias, batteries, flashlights, lanterns, tools to rebuild, etc... 
The obstacle in our way is Shipping Costs and at the moment we have a few possible options that we can use but are quite expensive. So we are asking for your help to help us raise money so we can send as many supplies as we can to this family and community in dire need. 

So, I am passing the word along to others who may want to help by giving directly to a known person there, rather than through an agency.

Let us unite together as a community to help another, En La Union Esta La Fuerza!
