A Home for Ms. Nesbitt

Donation protected
Sandra Nesbitt is about 60 years old and has cancer.  She has beat cancer once, but sadly it has returned.  When her children learned that the cancer returned, they bought her a used mobile home so she could live next to them.  She is fortunate to have her children and granddaughter help care for her.  They always make sure that she has someone with her overnight.  They also pay for her mobile home lot rent and utilities.

The Hammerhead Society first met Ms. Nesbitt when she put in a request for a handicap ramp.  Her physician recently told her to stay off her feet and use a wheelchair.  Before The Hammerheads could begin building the ramp for her, they had to conduct a pre-inspection for measurements and design.  They quickly realized that a wheelchair ramp was the least of Ms. Nesbitt’s needs.

The mobile home is 31 years old and is literally falling down around her.  The roof leaks profusely, the floors and walls are rotten, one bathroom and one bedroom are unusable, and the porch is to the point of being too dangerous to use.  On top of all these issues, the home is not handicap equipped.

The Hammerheads have found a newer, safer mobile home for Ms. Nesbitt – a home in which she can focus on getting better.  The cost of the home is $46,000.00.  Please help off-set the cost of this mobile home for Ms. Nesbit by donating through GoFundMe.  You may also donate directly to The Hammerheads.  All proceeds will go directly to the home purchase, not medical costs since Ms. Nesbitt receives Medicaid.

WHO WE ARE
The Hammerheads are a group of men that worship the Lord through acts of service.  They focus on building handicap ramps for those in need.  Not only do The Hammerheads sacrifice their weekends to build these ramps, but they work with local businesses and individuals to secure all the materials needed so that no costs are passed onto the ramp recipient.  To date, The Hammerheads have built 11 wheelchair ramps with more projects in the works.
