Hiawatha Renovation & Painting

Donation protected

Thank you to all who made this possible!

Hiawatha, the worlds tallest Indian, has been a part of Ironwoods history for over 50 years. Its original purpose was to honor the culture of our native Americans and bring tourists to downtown Ironwood to view this magnificent statue. Recently Hiawatha has shown some wear with cracks in his fiberglass skin, dirt from our feathered friends and a faded paint job. It's time we raise the money to allow us to renovate and repaint old Hiawatha.

Our goal is to raise $25,000 to bring Hiawatha back to its original glory and make it a relevant city-wide park for area childern, families and western U.P. tourists.

Please help us by making your donation today. All donations will be handled through the Ironwood Chamber of Commerce and your donations are tax deductible.
