CHRIS SEVERIO LOUISIANA FLOOD FUND
Greater's very own Chris Severio, a resident of Denham Springs was deeply affected by this tragedy. He was able to get his Mom to safety while the water was waist deep, then got a call his uncle needed help. Chris fought the current of chest high water to help his uncle to safety. Chris and his family members are ok, however, they lost everything. Their home, their cars, their clothes and everything they hold dear was swept away.
Many of you will get to know Chris Severio for the first time through the film GREATER, where he plays the lead role as Brandon Burlsworth. The film is based on the story of Brandon's character, work ethic, giving personality and faith in God. Chris Severio embodies the same qualities as Brandon. He is one of the nicest, most caring young men you will ever meet. It was such a pleasure to work with Chris on the set of GREATER and over the past several months during promotion of the film. Chris has a special place in the hearts of all who worked with him. Greater Productions has set up this account to let Chris know how much he means to us and to help him and his family start the process of getting back on their feet. They have a long road ahead of them, we would be so grateful for any support you can give to make this road a little smoother.
Here is a link to Chris with ESPN's Paul Finebaum talking about the flood.
Please feel free to share this with anyone who would like to contribute. All funds raised will go directly to Chris and his family.
Thank you in advance for your support!
The entire GREATER family
Thanks again, and Happy #GivingTuesday
"Some days are better than others. My family, friends, and I are all staying positive even though this entire process of starting over has been rough but we are tough and our bond with God just makes us stronger. My family is beginning to rebuild their homes but some of us including me have to find a new place to call home. The important thing is we are together, alive, and helping each other through this along with other families/friends that were affected as well. The next steps for me is to get another vehicle of my own, help my family get back to normal, and then find myself my own place. For all those who donated to the Go Fund Me page I just want to say I am forever grateful for each and everyone one of you! This support I have received has been tremendous and just goes to show how even though our loss is great, God is Greater. That quote on Brandon's headstone sticks to my heart through this! It one thing that keeps me going. Thank you everyone so much who has donated to the Go Fund Me page to help me and family to get back on our feet. I can't thank you all enough." -Chris
