Help Camille & Simone! ♥

Dear Family and friends,

This is extremely difficult to write. It is hard to be vulnerable and put my needs out there, unfortunately it is necessary.

It has been a financially challenging year for me. I was out of work at the end of December and all of January, February and March. I was in severe pain with a bulging disk in my lower back and also experiencing burn out from my intense job that I love dearly. My disability insurance only paid a portion of my salary and I racked up quite a hefty pile of medical bills.

I am back to work full time, as of April 1 and getting my groove back slowly. I am a Home Care Supervisor for ResCare HomeCare. I help the elderly and disabled age in place, at home, by arranging in-home care. I am passionate about what I do, work close to home and have deep connections within my beautiful community through this awesome yet challenging service we continue to provide.

Since back to work, even with a steady income, I am finding it extremely difficult to make ends meet with the basics. I have had some immediate expenses and am anticipating more immediately.

I have said this before, that it is hard to ask for help, but it's so much harder to tell Camille and Simone that they have to go without. Or not enjoy an experience, as this is very important to me.

Camille is finishing up her Sophmore year at the high school. She played Tennis in the Spring and got the Most Improved trophy for the second year in a row. Camille participates in the Spanish Club, Social Justice Club and the Random Acts of Kindness club. She participated in the Walk for Water cause last month at Seattle Center. She continues to play beautiful Zimbabwean Marimba music and plans to help at the kids camp in July, after returning from working in Bozeman, Montana for a month at one of Serena's restaurants. She continues to learn to drive. Camille loves to travel or at least think about it and make it a goal!

Simone is wrapping up her last year as a middle schooler and is preparing for her freshman year. She had another record breaking season at Track, with 3 gold medals and one silver. She broke school records and placed first in the State for the 200m. She plans to play high school soccer in the Fall, high school basketball in the Winter and high school track in the Spring. She will continue with her Select soccer team which will play during the summer, take a break & continue once high school ball is complete. She is pretty fun to watch in action as I believe she is gifted. She is empowered as a young athlete and has big dreams!

Our needs are neverending and some things on this list are rapidly approaching. I will give a general idea of what we need help with, in no particular order of importance:
Yearbooks ($90), Select Soccer Fees & gear ($700), New cleats ($100), Adventure Ed gear ($ varies), Basketball Camp ($260), Drivers Education class ($375), Summer Soccer tournament fees ($ varies), Camille needs a new bed ($ varies), New shoes ($ varies), I need a new mattress ($ varies), Car repairs ($1000+), I also want to go on a mini road trip close to home with the girls over the summer, if possible, I need a new laptop as mine is extremely old & difficult to use ($ varies), I will need a new car in the near future as mine is getting old and continuing to need repairs, new cell phone, as I now have the oldest phone of the 3 of us & it's getting extremely slow ($ varies), and unfortunately the list goes on.

It's so humbling to ask for help. It hurts my heart to have to ask. Please donate. Unfortunately, anything and everything helps.

If you have questions, please feel free to ask. I am so grateful and appreciate all of the love and all of the support!
