HFMA Gulf Coast Member Grant Fund

Many of our HFMA members and their families who work and reside in the Texas Gulf Coast region sustained major property damage from the devastation of Hurricane Harvey.  Some escaped from the rising flood waters with only the clothes they were wearing and what they could carry in a small bag. Although the storm has passed, the road to recovery will be long.   We have received an outpouring of expressions of concern from HFMA members and chapters across the country, asking how they can help.

In response, the HFMA Texas Gulf Coast Chapter Board has created this campaign to accept donations that will be used specifically for the benefit of HFMA members and their families who have suffered loss during Hurricane Harvey. A team consisting of the President, Treasurer, and the Community Benefits Committee will have a formal process to review requests from our members. We expect to offer assistance for everything from replacing professional attire and children’s school uniforms, to stocking pantries with food and helping with temporary living expenses.  Thank you for your support and for showing HFMA’s power to make a difference in the lives of our members.
