The mission of Healthy Ride is to expand access to public transit through easy-to-use, affordable active transportation opportunities. Bikes are a great way to get Pittsburghers from Point A to Point B, whether that’s a trip from home to work, from work to the bus, from bus to bus, or anywhere inbetween. Unfortunately for some, access remains unachievable. Credit card requirements and finances limit the ability to utilize the bike share system. This holiday season, we’re asking for your help. By donating, you’re supporting Pittsburghers in your communities. All of the proceeds from this campaign will help us make Healthy Ride accessible for ALL by subsidizing memberships for those in need of reliable, 24/7 transportation.
The goal is $2500 which will allow us to give away 500 free memberships in 2018. We’ll be working directly with community partners to help us distribute these memberships to people in their communities in need of affordable, convenient transit options.
