Mission Trip to Guatemala

"I have shown you in every way, by laboring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive." (Acts 20:35)

We are 8 Sunday school teachers at a local Korean Catholic Church community planning our very first mission trip to Guatemala for ten days in June with our high school youth students.

As God told us, “You shall love one another as I have loved you,” God has gifted each and every one of us with unique gifts and talents and we want to take this opportunity to demonstrate and share God’s unconditional love for us  to those who are in need of God’s love regardless of our race/culture/status/etc.

We kindly ask for any sort of donations to help support our student-teacher chaperones who are working so hard to plan program activities and religious devotional activities throughout the trip. Our trip costs $1,500/person. All funds will be used to help contribute to building material costs, travel airfare, accommodation/meals and support funding for students who genuinely want to go help others in need.

Some of the things we will be doing in Guatemala include:
-Teaching English to young children
-Help building a library and a daycare
-Painting a mural to the newly  constructed buildings
-Serving the elderly at a nursing home
