Greetings! GIVE SOMETHING BIKE is back and gearing up to gift deserving foster children with brand new bikes this holiday season!
With over 36,000 kids in foster care in Los Angeles, it’s Tweens and Teenagers who are often forgotten around the holidays and often get no gifts at all, since most toy drives and kind efforts tend to gear towards younger kids. Well, it’s time to change that.
If you recall, last year, with the help of many incredibly kind donors and sponsors, we put brand new bicycles, helmets and locks in the hands of 105 foster children in Los Angeles, making their holidays magical (see my original GoFundMe campaign here ).
Well, the holiday season is right around the corner again and I am continuing my commitment, with your help, to bring smiles to even more foster children this year!
So please help us to raise enough to make this holiday season special for at least 106 foster kids… (Of course, I’d love to find a way to help even more if we can!)
I am so excited to report that with the incredibly kind support of Kent International bikes, for the second year in a row, and Purefix Cycles , we're once again able to get a very cool package for each foster child consisting of a (1) BRAND NEW KENT BIKE (either the Thruster Rage or the 2Cool), (2) a RAZOR HELMET and (3) a KENT BIKE LOCK for an amazingly low donation of just $69 per child – which includes all fees for payment processing, GoFundMe, bike assembly and initial delivery. (We're starting the campaign early since we need enough time to build and deliver the bikes to the kids before the holidays.)
