Give 7

What are we: 

A campaign to bring University of Exeter students, staff and the local community, in Cornwall, together, through, Giving £7 and completing 7 things in an activity.

The Give 7 campaign wants to promote creative and physical activity for Cornwall's community, all while encouraging giving to the RNLI  and Cornwall Mind.

Why we were created:

Having all felt the impact of the pandemic, the University of Exeter's Business School based in Penryn, Cornwall, wants to re-invigorate community spirit and give back to local causes close to students and staffs hearts.  

How can I get involved?

Getting involved can be little more than donating some time, through doing and sharing your activities, sharing us on your social media, and or donating £7. 

These activities can be baking 7 cakes, going on 7 cold water swims or crafting 7 knitted sweaters. Be sure to share us on social media and donate however much you want, commenting what your doing, or who your donating in honour of.  #Give7, #Give7-Do7, #UniversityofExeter


Who are we going to donate too?

The RNLI : The Royal National Lifeboat Institution aim to tackle the dangers of water and the sea.  Through 24/7 search and rescue teams, educational water safety courses and seasonal lifeguards, the RNLI operates to save lives every day. With 12 stations in Cornwall, and the Cornish community frequently enjoying the water, we believed it was our duty to give back to these members of the community.  

Cornwall Mind: Mind, across the country, looks to support those with mental health difficulties. Lockdowns across the UK have only exacerbated this problem, with many students, staff and locals feeling the burden of staying at home. Cornwall Mind has provided an invaluable service during this time and with mental health increasingly influencing the wellbeing and happiness of people, the Give 7 team think it is only right to give back.
