Girls and Boys Club

My sister, Bryanna, is getting to the end of her 2 year volunteer service in Ghana. She has formed a girls and boys club to teach them about leadership, sexual health, and career opportunities to name a few. In the coming month, she is planning a field trip to Kumasi, the city closest to her, because many of her students have never left their village. They plan to visit the cultural center and palace, botanical gardens, and go on a college campus tour. Additionally, she plans to introduce them to a couple income generating activities such as batik (dyed fabric that many Ghanaians make their clothes from)  and soap making. She is also planning a few health projects such as sack gardens for areas with poor soil to ensure year round food, cooking demonstrations, and reusable menstrual pads because many girls are forced to miss school because they can't afford to purchase pads. The funding she had in place fell through and she doesn't want to disappoint her students. Please consider donating to her and her leadership club this holiday season.
