Filling Up Jake's Bucket!!

Donation protected
On Christmas Eve 2012  Jake Simpson was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma. At the time he was 19 years old.
Boxing day was spent at the  Wesley Hospital in Brisbane meeting Dr Bashford in the Oncology department and planning a strategic battle that would take 12 months.
Ewing's Sarcoma was detected in his butt, spine, hip, ribs, collar bone, shoulder and skull.  Jake was only given a 25% chance of beating the disease.  But against the odds, he did it! In May 2014 Cancer Council Queensland asked Jake to be the Face of the Toowoomba Relay for Life. Not only did he take this on, but the entire Simpson family and community took up this role and embraced the event as a celebration of Jake's triumph over cancer.  So many people listened to Jake speak at that event and gained so much from this young inspirational man. Hero status was duly deserved. He had fought against the odds and came out the winner!
Jake = Symbol of Hope.

Jake's remission was cut short. In January 2015  the Simpson's world crashed down around them for a second time with the news that Jake's cancer had returned.
Since then Jake has fought this disease constantly.  His family have been stoic by his side; Dad Adrian, Mum Karen, brothers Connor and Brodie are his biggest supporters.  His beloved Willowburn Football Club, Workmates at Coles, Rockville Rovers Football Club and Milne Bay Aquatic centre and many other organisations have been so very supportive of the Simpson family.
Jake is now 21.  Standing on the precipice of adulthood he has written a 'Bucket List', - something we all should probably do -  in Jake's case this list is very important.  He has some pretty awesome things he wants to achieve on his own and with his family.

We know we can't cure Jake - Jake's wonderful oncologist the 'Dr Bashinator-Cancer Terminator' is doing all that he can and there is always Hope.
Jake will continue to fight and we can help the Simpson family by "Filling up Jake's Bucket" and help relieve some of the financial stresses they are carrying.

 Dig deep to help this very deserving family.
