$100 of $2,000 goal

Well of Life Community Development, Inc. is an NGO based in Davao City, Philippines.  Our Mission is to help families physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually through nutrition, hygiene, sanitation, and health care, sustainable agricultural development, education and the Word of God.

Our goal is to raise working funds to assist needed healthcare for poor people we are working with in the city and mountain villages.

We provide medical care through running free clinics, doing check ups for people, health promotion and disease prevention, teaching basic first aid, and whatever other medical help we can provide to the best of our ability. Well of Life also partners with other groups who provide medical surgeries and we need funds to pick them up from the mountains, house them and their family member, feed them, and help with medical supplies etc.

Example of what your donations would go towards:
-Buying medicine that will be provided for those in need
-Replacing medical supplies as needed
-Setting up clinics, small pharmacies
-Helping provide transportation for patients that need more help (admitting to hospital)
-Helping provide counterpart funds for surgeries that are offered within the city through other hospitals and organizations
-Emergency funds (set aside for emergent cases that will happen that need direct medical attention that we may not be able to fully provide)

We thank you for your time and consideration in partnering with us and helping to impact the Filipino’s here and bring health and healing to their physical bodies.

Urgent Need...

We're conducting a medical outreach in the village of Lumatag, it is one of the major communities within a large cluster of other communities that Well of Life has been working steady with for 4 years. They have minimal access to healthcare as the closest hospital is more than an hour away, but many cannot afford even the transportation to go there.

Every-time we go to this community there is some form of medical issue that needs to be attended to. Cases of people who have burns, high blood pressure, cuts and wounds, and major cases like clubfoot, infections, etc. are what we deal with regularly.

We are planning on conducting a medical outreach to the mountain village of Lumatag on September 30.
We're estimating that we'll see approximately 100 patients, but we are sure once the word spreads about a medical clinic this number will grow. As soon as people hear there is even a single health care professional in the community, people start showing up asking for help.

Well of Life is blessed to have a full medical team, a doctor and nurse are coming from Manila and other nurses living in Davao will serve together. We're anticipating great outcomes, and expect to be very busy.

Whenever we're able to provide medical care; no matter what the case is from a simple fever treated with some medication, teaching on dehydration etc., to helping children with clubfoot get surgery so they can walk for the first time...The people of the community are so thankful for our time, and willingness to be able to assist them.

Please consider being an extension of our hands here, to make a difference in those lives we will minister to this month.

To be able to pull off a large medical outreach like this, it takes a lot of time, effort, and resources: We need to buy a lot of medicine, and medical supplies.

Our costs consists of the following:
Medicine and medical supplies, preparation, food and servicing of the large truck to haul our team and all the supplies.

Total Amount Needed= 25,000 Pesos or $530 USD or $700 CAD

Please pray and consider helping us to be a blessing to these precious souls in need!

Thank you!

Meet Jinalyn, she is deaf and mute. When she was 7 years her clothes caught on fire in the kitchen while playing and she burned her chest and right arm.

Last January her wound had a small insect bite and she scratched it and it got lethally infected. They went to the hospital last January for check-up but the Doctor kept telling them to come back and they came back 15 times but the Doctor did nothing for her. The Doctor just advised to clean the infected area with zonrox and sodium. After 3 months, they stopped using the zonrox and sodium because it was painful and the skin was coming off. They used boiled guava leaves instead for cleaning the wound.

The mother of a cleft lip patient of Well of Life referred Jinalyn to our leader and he took her for a second opinion to an American doctor friend. She was referred to the new Cure/Tibow clinic in Davao and they decided the arm must be amputated right away, as the patient could eventually die.

Well of Life was able to raise over $1,000 for the emergency surgery and their social worker assisted the family in getting other counterpart funds from the government. The Cure/Tibow Hospital also helped with the costs of the surgery while caring for her in their beautiful facilities.

Thanks to those who helped save this precious life!

Please consider joining us to help others in need like Jinalyn.

Beboy has been progressing more and more each day since his surgery. Beboy has no casts, but does wear braces all day to help keep his feet straight. He is doing physiotherapy twice a day and is now able to stand with assistance and using a walker. He can take small steps, which is amazing as he has never even walked before. Beboy really enjoys playing catch with the ball when he is at home, or doing physio.

Beboy is continuously pushing through physical therapy and it's obvious that his hard work is paying off! With all the cheerleading support from his grandma Vicenta and a standing warm-up while eating chocolates, he took a couple of steps with assistance! Beboy also got to work on balancing to keep his body straight while standing, so we made him check himself out in the mirror so he can see whether or not he's leaning more to one side. Beboy is continuously making us proud and we thank God that he's progressing more and more in his healing!

This is just the beginning of a new life for Beboy and it brings tears to our eyes that he will have the chance to walk and play and go to school like other children!

We still need your support to help the family bring him to physiotherapy, food and transportation from the mountain to the city.

Thanks for considering and continuing to partner with us to provide for these precious patients!
