Fight Lyme Disease with Nicole

My wife Nicole, has the chronic form of Lyme Disease, a tick-borne bacterial infection.  According to a Lyme specialist in Dallas, she has probably had it since she was born,  receiving it congenitally from her parents, (a correct diagnosis was not established until this past year). 
Over the years she has been to countless doctors and specialists and had an unimaginable amount of testing done, with no real answers as to the underlying cause of her steadily deteriorating health until recently. 
Lyme and the many other co-infections that often accompany Lyme, have the ability to affect every single system of the body, and for Nicole, they have. 
Besides Lyme disease symptoms, over the years she has also been diagnosed with Hypoglycemia (blood sugar imbalance), Policystic Ovarian Syndrome (hormone system imbalance), Fibromyalgia/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Hypothyroidism (low functioning thyroid), many multiple food allergies, Adrenal fatigue/disfunction, damage to the nervous system and more.
The effect this has on her daily life and the life of her family cannot be overstated; it can barely be understood.  We have three beautiful girls under the age of 7, and not being able to give them the time and energy they deserve is a constant sorrow to Nicole; some days the pain and exhaustion are unbearable and it is a constant struggle for her to function. 

 Lyme affects the body in innumerable ways. Shortness of breath, numbness, dizziness, painful muscle spasms, chronic nerve pain, extremely low energy levels, panic and anxiety attacks, sharp stabbing pains in the nerves and muscles, painful joints, sudden elevated heart rate and blood pressure, depression, "brain fog", short and long term memory loss, inflammation, chest pain, swollen glands, insomnia, a suppressed immune system, digestive issues, and night sweats are just a few of the symptoms she deals with on a daily basis. This cocktail of illnesses has also caused  dental issues, such as frequent tooth and gum pain, TMJ, and severe headaches.
For someone who loves others as much as she does, the isolation that results from her sickness has also had a negative impact on her.   

 She has many severe allergies that prevent her from eating most of what can be found at a regular grocery store. This neccessitates a special diet and along with many other supplements and medicines, the bill is large . No insurance company on earth would cover all the treatments necessary to cure her. On top of all this, there is the strong probability that our three girls were born with it as well. This may be the hardest part of the whole ordeal.

Any funds we raise will go towards healing Nicole and our children in body, mind, and spirit. We prayed for answers to the underlying cause and undiagnosed symptoms, now we are praying for healing! 
Unfortunately, because of the fragile state of her adrenals right now, she is extremely over-sensitive to the antibiotics that she needs to be taking to get better.
The plan is to start a treatment program using all natural medicines and supplements in small amounts and slowly move up and then eventually move on to the many prescription antibiotics needed. She has been told this may take about five years total. There will need to be many more doctors visits and tests done as well as travel expenses.

   Words cannot express how much this will mean to us! As a Marine veteran, it is terrible to see loved ones in such pain and be unable to affectively help. Marines are trained to endure terror and bloodshed, to run towards the guns, but we are as helpless as anyone else when it comes to sicknesses like these.
