Matthew "Matty" Ferleman died unexpectedly at University of Iowa Hospital on October 10, 2015 at the age of 43.
Matt is survived by his niece Megan Biretz of Brandon, Florida, aunt Connie Rinnels, and many more extended family. He is preceded in death by his father David Ferleman, mother Linda Orth, and sister Janie Biretz.
Matt was born on September 5, 1972 in Mason City, Iowa but resided between Cedar Falls, Iowa and Brandon, Florida. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family, volunteering with animal shelters, and fishing. He was very grateful for his dog, Nala.
A memorial visitation will be held at Richardson Funeral Home in Cedar Falls; time and date are to be announced. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Matt's life. In lieu flowers and condolences, donations are being collected to pay for cremation and visitation services.
