Floresville South 5th Grade Camp

Floresville South Elementary is a Title 1 school located in Floresville, TX.  Each year approximately 140-5th grade students have the opportunity to attend the overnight camping experience.  During this 3 day-2 night trip, students are engaged in both academic and team building activities.  As students participate in each activity, they write and record everything they have learned in a camp journal.  For some of these students, this will be their first time camping, making s'mores, fishing and canoeing.  Throughout the year, teachers refer back to the camp experience and activities during classroom lessons and use it as a starting point to guide student learning.  The tuition for the camp is $100 per camper and includes: transportation to camp, housing and meals, camp tshirt, activity supplies and consumables.
