Established in 2014, The Pabst Smears was born when like-minded people expressed a desire for an intersectional feminist community within punk. Fostering a loyal collective of support, respect, love, sisterhood, and mutual passion, the heart of the Pabst Smears group is a guiding force to encourage a more inclusive music scene, online and offline
This year, the Pabst Smears will be raising money at The Fest (an annual punk festival in Gainesville, FL) for a Gainesville organization called Peaceful Paths. Peaceful Paths is the certified domestic abuse network that serves survivors of domestic violence in Alachua, Bradford, and Union counties. The organization provides a wide range of services including emergency shelter, transitional housing, crisis hotline, victim advocacy, children’s programming, education and training, counseling and support groups, community awareness and intervention, violence prevention programs, and batterer’s intervention programming. Peaceful Paths is a member of the Florida Coalition Against Domestic Violence
To help us raise money, we will be selling merchandise during the flea market during Registration, but you can contribute by pre-ordering your items here! If you're not going to make it to the Fest this year but still want to donate by purchasing items, we will be happy to ship your bundle to you - please only choose this option if you will not make it to the Fest this year as we would like to keep prices low for everyone!
This year we're offering some really rad items, designed by Pabst Smears members! They include:
-Three shirt designs! (FEMINISM IS NOT A DIRTY WORD , NO ONE ASKED YOU, I [beer] FEST)
-Zip-up Hoodies with "I [pizza] FEST on the back!**
-"Friend of the Smears" Tote Bags (to carry all your records and other Fest swag)!
-"Friend of the Smears" Koozies (to keep your drinks cold)!
(We will have more Koozie colors available at Fest!)
-Stickers and Pins for any punk occasion!
All shirts/Hoodies are sized with Unisex sizes in mind!
** The placement of the images and text will vary a teeny tiny little bit on the back of the hoodie so that the print isn't covered by the hood!
