We are in the process of creating County Behavioral Medicine, a non-profit community mental health center, in Presque Isle, Maine.
Mary-Helena McInerney and Mathew Salch are the cofounders. We are Licensed Mental Health Counselors who have worked in various capacities and roles in the mental healthcare field. We work with people of all ages and from all backgrounds. We believe everyone has the strength and ability to create more fulfilling lives and we want to be a part of a world where people accept and support one another through whatever they are facing.
Presque Isle is a rural community which is facing barriers in terms of availability and access for mental health and substance abuse services. Our mission is to provide quality behavioral healthcare for everyone. We seek to promote wellbeing for all not only through our services, but also through our collaboration with the community. We are committed to providing accessible, high quality mental health and substance abuse services for children, adolescents, adults, and their families. We believe in collaborating extensively with providers, as high quality care addresses both behavioral and physical medicine. It is through our work that we intend to foster improved understanding, acceptance, and growth within the community and helping one another with their recoveries through mental health and substance abuse difficulties.
We have started this GoFundMe campaign to reach out to others for support with helping us cover start-up costs for our venture. Any support is appreciated more than you know! We want to help people live the life they want and your help gets us one step closer!
