Ive been in and out of hospital from the 25/11/2015 doing ultrasounds, scans, MRI scans, ct scans, pet scans you name it, on the 9/12/2015 I was diagnosed with a Tumor measuring 12cm x 6.0cm in the back of my thigh, and also found 2 bad cells in my lungs/chest!
They began with 2 major surgeries to the back of my thigh hoping to remove the tumours and as a result, had to remove some arteries, sciatic nerves and my hamstring preventing me from being able to walk periodically, let alone work. Since then, I have had to undergo 36 cycles of chemotherapy and 36 cycles of radiotherapy and have spent more time in hospital than at home since this all began.
As you can imagine, the financial stress of not being able to work takes its toll on your Mental Health, especially when you get told you will not be able to return to the only work you have ever known, working in the construction industry. Despite all of this, I have remained positive!
Today I was informed that the cancer has spread to my lymph nodes and will need another major surgery and further treatments in the hope of removing the tumours!
