UPDATE: Monday, July 22, 2019

Our allies, the Fond Du Lac Water Protectors need firewood for ceremony and healing. Camps A Rising and others responded to the call with a delivery of firewood. We have now set up a fund to be used for future wood deliveries. Donations to the firewood fund of $30 or more will earn you a, “Water Stone” designed by Cindy Engle.

The Canadian Corporation Enbridge is planning a pipeline right through Minnesota’s lake country. They’re preparing to dig the line through the Fond Du Lac Indian Reservation. Even though the route is not yet approved they are already cutting trees and selling the wood. Yet people living on the reservation are not allowed to harvest firewood.

Camps A Risings mission is to, “...support educational and peaceful activities that demand action reducing climate change…we do this by distributing necessary support gear and supplies to established encampments of prayer, education and peaceful direct action.” Only with your help Is Camps A Rising able to work with our allies. It may be equipping village encampments monitoring activities along the border wall in Texas, acquiring mobil kitchens for deployment in Michigan or funding camp gear in Minnesota the work we do is essential. Please send your shipping address along with you donation today.

Camps A Rising was called by one of our allies fighting a pipeline in northern Minnesota. As they prepare to dig the line Enbridge Corporation is cutting trees and selling the wood for lumber. They are preparing to dig the line.

People living on the reservation are no longer allowed to pick up down and dead wood to use as firewood. The Fond Du Lac reservation placed an ordinance prohibiting people from using the waste product. The Fond Du Lac Water Protectors must now buy firewood for their sacred fire.

A member of Camps A Rising went to work and organized the purchase of one load of wood. It was delivered today. We are asking you to donate some money to a firewood fund set up for ongoing purchases as needed. Please contribute today.

At times Camps A Rising is able to provide small capacity building grants. We received a grant from the Mahmoud S. Taman last fall. Using part of that grant we offered a pass along contribution to Mason BobbyLeonard. Added as a match with other contributors Bobby will increase his capacity to work.

Bobby's work along our southern border is to operate CAR's drone to document and witness activities of Mr. Trump's Border Wall construction. He has been fundraising to repair and get his own drone back in the air. Once he is able to do so, there will be two sets of eyes in the sky keeping watch.

Bobby will build capacity by teaching another drone operator to use CAR's unit. Please join Camps A Rising to partner with others in building even more capacity. Contribute what you are able.

Thanks
