Engineering Club 3D Printer

Donation protected
Caddo Magnet High School has started an exciting new club this year as part of our STEAM (Science/Technology/Engineering/Arts/Math) initiatives.  The Engineering Club is an umbrella organization made up of Arduino, Science Olympiad, Real World Design Challange, Team America Rocketry Challenge, and Robotics.  All of these groups, except for Arduino, will compete on a local and possibly national level.

The purpose of this funding drive is to purchase a 3D printer and material needed to do the print jobs.  This printer is necessary for the Team America Rocketry Challenge, as students must design components of a rocket.  These components will then come to life as they are printed out during the construction phase of the project.  Knowing the intelligence and intellectual curiosity of CMHS students, there is no telling what they will learn and accomplish by having access to one of these machines, and there is no doubt use of the printer will go far beyond the Rocketry Challenge.

The printer will be needed by the end of September in order for the Rocketry Teams to stay on pace in the competition.

Please consider donating (Any amount is greatly appreciated!) in order to help these students have the tools needed to learn and compete in the 21st century.
