Buzzcuts for Bucknell

Joining Theta Chi in the fall of 2012, Oliver Bucknell was a highly revered member of our fraternity who inspired everyone around him through his charisma, excellent academic achievements, and various successful business ventures. Oliver passed away in 2015 after a long fought battle with one of the most ruthless forms of cancer, Melanoma. The following Spring semester a few brothers sought to create an annual event to support Oliver's family and the foundation created in his name. The Oliver Bucknell Melanoma Foundation now funds the fight against Melanoma, supporting patients as well as their families. Our now annual philanthropy involves our brothers (and anyone else who wishes to participate) donating a minimum $10 to get their heads shaved in honor of Oliver and his everlasting memory. The event will be held at 429 West Park Avenue (Right across the street from Pots and next to Onyx) on April 21st from 2-5:30pm. There will be live music as well as food for everyone to enjoy. We hope to see you all there!














Net proceeds from this event shall be deposited into the Oliver Bucknell Melanoma Foundation Fund, a component fund of the Community Foundation of Sarasota County, Inc.
