Bonifay Fire-Rescue Bunker Gear
Firefighter Gear Fundraiser
The City of Bonifay is a small city of 2772 citizens located between Pensacola and Tallahassee, Florida. Bonifay has an all-volunteer fire department known as Bonifay Fire-Rescue. There are a total of 17 firefighters. Four of which are EMT's and two are Paramedics. These 17 men protect the City of Bonifay and some of the surrounding area that lies in the county 24 hours per day and 7 days per week. These men respond to the fire station whenever called. These men respond to structure fires, vehicle fires, woods fires, automobile accidents, where they are the primary extrication unit in the county, medical calls when requested by the county EMS service, missing persons cases, weather disasters, etc. They may come from their full-time jobs or their homes. They often leave their families where they are when the call comes in.
This gofundme account is being started with the intention of helping these men purchase new structural firefighting gear. Each new set of gear costs approximately $2500. The latest gear these men purchased with grant monies was purchased in 2006. The most recent grant submitted on behalf of the department was denied. The department responds to 300 calls on average annually. So you can imagine the shape this gear is in after 9 years. This gear includes structural firefighting coats, pants, gloves, hood and boots.
Bonifay Fire-Rescue humbly asks if you have any monetary contribution you can donate to these men for their safety, it will be greatly appreciated and will be used for protection of this great city and its citizens.
ALL DONATIONS ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE
