From the point that my oldest son was in Kindergarten, he was bullied. He is in 7th grade now, and the bullying has not let up. He has now been diagnosed with depression and is on medication. He’s never been very good at making friends with other kids his age. He’s an “old soul” and just not into the same kinds of things other kids his age are.
He is not the only one.
We have more local kids and teens being bullied than ever before. We have more young kids and teens taking their own lives than ever before.
Our schools are doing less and less. They put up anti bullying posters and when that doesn’t solve the issue, they sweep it under the rug as best they can. How does that help our children? Where can they turn when the teachers and adults they spend the most amount of time with every single day turn a blind eye to them?
Us.
We are a brand new Non-Profit for our local communities in the Tri-County area for Upstate, NY. Our goal is to help our youth in Jefferson, Lewis and St. Lawrence counties. We want to help them make friends with other kids who have the same struggles as they do. We want to set up meetings, outings, social events and a hotline for our kids to call and feel safe to talk about things they need to talk about.
We want to be the voice for kids and teens who don’t feel like they have one. The voice for parents who keep running into brick walls trying to get somewhere with the schools to end the mistreatment of our children. We want to help our community come together and spread more love and less hate. We want to help us all be the change we need and want to see in the world.
If not us, who? If not now, when?

Any donation big or small is appreciated. Our lawyer informed us that the cost for our 501(k), which we need to become recognized with the IRS is well over $600. We are desperately seeking help from our community to help make this Non-Profit a reality. For you, for our kids, our schools and for all of us.
