Fiji Cyclone direct assitance

Hi,
Many of you will know about the deep personal connection that my family and I feel to Fiji and that this goes far beyond my love of surfing (we lived and worked there for three years). You will also know that Fiji has been hit very hard by Cyclone Winston.
Fijians of all backgrounds share an incredible resilience. I have no doubt they will bounce back but they could certainly do with some serious help right now. So if you can contribute that would be great.
I’ll be using my personal contacts on the ground in Fiji to ensure all cash raised here goes directly to one or two families who need it the most for rebuilding their homes. There will be no middle men or agency costs and no advertising or fund raising costs. 100% of any donation will go straight to families.
Of course I wouldn’t ask anyone to contribute to something unless I led the way myself. So the first donation will be $500 from the Bell family. GoFundMe do charge some modest fees but I will personally make an additional donation to cover the fees of any donatons by anyone here.

Who am I ? My name is Robert Bell, I live in Melbourne, Australia but previously lived in Fiji (CEO of ANZ Bank Fiji) and still regularly travel to Fiji. Funds will go to one or two families directly impacted by the cyclone. We are in the process of identifying those families. Everyone will be updated via this site.
