Support refugees in the Balkans!

Dear friends,

Over the New Year period I will be volunteering with the ‘Dobrodošli’ / ‘Welcome’ Refugee Support Initiative which is doing great work with refugees arriving in Croatia. From 28 December to 10 January, I will be based in a large refugee camp in Slavonski Brod, eastern Croatia.

Thousands of people, children and adults, pass through this camp along their difficult journey from regions of conflict and oppression. Now they are also facing the freezing cold of the Balkan winter. As a volunteer, I hope to offer them whatever hands-on assistance I can.

I am also raising funds for Croatia ADRA - a non-governmental organisation which provides essential supplies to refugees in the Slavonski Brod camp. All money collected will go towards meeting the urgent needs of refugees in the Balkans.
