Burke United Methodist Preschool has provided an outstanding preschool experience for over 30 years. Dedicated faculty and staff strive to love God and the children they have been entrusted with by reaching for excellence in everything they do.
At BUMP, we believe that children learn best through play, surrounded by love. As a ministry of Burke United Methodist Church we are able to provide an exemplary experience at an affordable cost. More than that, a key part of our mission is our robust scholarship program that makes it possible for families who wouldn't otherwise have the benefits of a private, Christian preschool to attend.
BUMP curriculum includes hands-on mission projects that engage children in the work of caring for one another, our community, our nation, and our world.
In short, BUMP is a beautiful, powerful, creative, loving place that has been part of othe foundation for thousands of preschoolers.
While we have worked hard to improve our facility in the last few years, the playground remains in need of reinvigoration. We know how important play is. Children's experiences playing with others are critical to their development. The layout and equipment our playground currently holds is inadequate for the number of students we have - and the larger community who use our playground after school hours.
BUMP leadership have pursued several playground companies and received multiple proposals. Our favorite, from a company called AllRecreation, rethinks the equipment, fencing, seating, shade, and surface of our playground space.
Our goal is to raise $37,584.00. We know it's a significant amount of money - but we believe it is a worthwhile investment in the hundreds and hundreds of children who will use it in the years to come.
