American Open and Spartakiad

Back in April I qualified for the American Open, the second biggest meet of the year here in the states. I also signed up for Hookgrip's Spartakiad meet in October, which looks to blow the doors off of what people imagine a "local" competition is capable of. It'll have a huge stage, cash prizes, pro lighting, and footage taken of every lifter.

But along with this, between cost of travel, entry fees, and finding a place to stay, I doubted my ability to make both of these meets, with even the Spartakiad pushing my budget a bit.

Yet overwhelming support from friends and family (weightlifters and non-lifters alike) has convinced me to try and make both happen. I would be thrilled to compete on my first major stage, not to mention twice in just two months! 

If you can spare anything to help send me there, it would mean a lot. If not, no worries. Either way, thanks for being the most amazing and supportive community I've ever been a part of.
