Against the Donald Public Art

I'm a painter, writer, divinity student and hospital chaplain intern in Boulder, CO, originally from New York and Cambridge, MA. In the past year I've been painting in acrylic, and, dismayed by the rise of Donald Trump, have made a series of three paintings about him. I'm raising money to freely distribute posters, postcards, and bumper stickers that comment on his basic message of hatred and division and encourage voters to vote against him.  This country needs to refocus its efforts on creating harmony and peace among us all. Trump offers a mean and divisive politics that is unsupportable. In my own life, in dealing with abusive persons, I've found it's important to call them out on their language and actions and I am doing the same with Donald Trump.

So far, I have posted my posters and postcards in Boulder, Denver, and Philadelphia, in public venues and in bookstores and museums, covertly. I observe passers-by as they take photos of the posters, comment on them, and in some cases, rip them down.

I plan to continue this and to expand to other cities when I find volunteers there to do the work.

Budget: I seek to cover printing and postage costs that have run to $1898.51, and I'm allowing another $601.49 for postage and compensation to volunteers in other cities ($10 for a couple of hours of posting) and the fees that GoFundMe collects for this. Anything raised above $2,500 will be donated to organizations supporting the rights of immigrant children to the USA, such as KIND.
