Lift needed for Acting Out!

Acting Out! Theater Company is a vibrant 100 seat 501c(3)non-profit community theater at 56 Island Street in Lawrence, Massachusetts.  Home of The Daly Theater, Acting Out! has been serving the Merrimack Valley community since 2002 with theatrical productions and classes.  Our mission is to provide opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to become involved in theatrical stage productions (as performer, crew, publicity, administrative assistance, or as a member of the audience) in a fun and supportive environment.

Community theater runs on a tight budget.  Acting Out! tries to keep ticket pricing down to allow as many community members to enjoy our productions as possible.  As such, the budget for capital improvements is small.  One glaring need is a lift to allow those who have difficulty with mobility to access our second-floor theater.  We do not like to think that someone might miss a performance of a family member or friend because of a set of stairs.

The lift that suits this need best has a total cost with installation of approximately $15,000.  Acting Out! has set aside $2,500 but is hoping to raise another $12,500 to meet this goal.  Please consider a making a tax deductible donation of any size to help bring the gift of theater to all of our patrons.  Thank you for your consideration!
