Habitat for Humanity El Salvador
***UPDATE - Thanks to all who have supported us thus far .... Amanda has confirmed her participation and will be joining me in El Salvador!
Through my amazing new job at Babson, I now have the opportunity to travel to El Salvador with the College's Habitat for Humanity group this August!
I've been accepted into the program, and have committed to attend - not only to help build houses in the village of Getsemani, but to also share Babson's entrepreneurial expertise with residents, and to help them build their local businesses and economy.
As an added bonus - Babson allows 'friends' of the College to apply and attend as well....and guess what - my amazing sister AMANDA has also been accepted, and as I mentioned - has confirmed!
Read more about Babson's Habitat for Humanity program through my colleague's article from his 2014 trip: http://magazine.babson.edu/2014/11/21/sweat-cinder-blocks-and-entrepreneurship/
** In partaking in my first trip this summer, I will be considered to lead future Habitat for Humanity trips for FREE as a Babson staff member (all over - not just El Salvador). I hope to be an active member of the Habitat for Humanity group moving forward, and see this as a perfect first step in pursuing some amazing charitable, and potentially free, trips in my future.
