Marilyn Hemmerich ACL surgery

Donation protected
Marilyn and I have been travelling around the country for the last few months. We made it all the way to the west coast with very little money. She's been travelling by my side from place to place since I rescued her two years ago. When she came in to my life, she was in rough shape. She had heart worms and had been hit by a car days before. All of this after she'd been a bate dog in a southern dog fighting ring. She's survived through all of this.

We arrived in Los Angeles on August 30th. That night, she got out of my buddy's house and took off. After searching for her that night and the following morning, I received a call from a good samaritan. She let me know that Marilyn was in a pound not too far from where we were staying. So I went to go pick her up. Upon arriving at the pound, I was informed that Marilyn was hit by a car the previous night and was in rough shape. They weren't allowed to release her to me because she had a microchip in her from her first owner. So now, not only was I without my pup but she'd been hit by a car and I would have to wait two weeks before I could adopt her. They were making me adopt my own dog.

I went in to visit her every day that they would allow me to. I brought her food and her medication. Since she was staying in the medical room, our visits were short but I was grateful for our time. Upon arriving to one of our visits, the vet informed me that she had a torn ACL. A very costly surgery. So I began looking for help in different nonprofit organizations in the area. I had no luck with with my search.

This past Tuesday she was finally released to me. She's been in good spirits but needs this surgery. If you can donate anything to help my pup recover, I will be forever grateful. She's a good girl. She's helped me through some times that I likely wouldn't have made it through without her.

Anything helps
