Bernese Mountain Dog severe illness

Hi,

My 6 year old Bernese Mountain Dog has been very sick since he was a puppy.  He has a severe malabsorption (lymphangiectasia) disease and inflammatory bowel disease.  He has had very bad flares over the years and my vet is amazed he is still with us.  I am a nurse and I am proud to say I have taken really good care of him.  I have had to cook for him because he needs a extremly low fat diet and high protein.  I give him flounder and talapia. He has had surgery and has been on a lot medicines.  Yesterday he woke up unable to walk well.  He fractured his hip because his calcium and vitamin D is so low it made it easy to do so.  I am tapped out financially- my credit cards are maxed because I needed to help him over the years.  I am desperately asking for help.  should I have funds left over I wil donate to another dog owner in need or donate to Berner guard a study for Bernese Mountain Dogs at Cornell- I swear to God!.  Please help my family at least keep him comfortable until it is his time.  Kody is such a kind dog and very smart dog.   He is in pain and he is trying to comfort me as I write this- he is so amazing.  I promise this is legit.  Please reach out to me if your have questions.  thank you, Liz
