Dwayne Brown Memorial Fund
Donation protected
On Saturday, December 1, 2018 Dwayne Deon Brown passed away suddenly at the age of 51.
For the past six years, our community has watched as Dwayne devoted his time to his family and to building a better world for their future.
To witness Dwayne as he moved through his days was to see a father caring for his children, spending the time necessary to make sure they were loved, ensuring that they knew their own importance. It was to see a socially conscious entrepreneur working to build a world where fossil fuels were replaced by sustainable alternatives, a world in which his children and our own would thrive. And with all his days, Dwayne modeled what we hoped our children and our world might become.
His sudden and tragic death occurred before he could realize his goals. Dwayne leaves behind his partner Danielle, who is a school counselor, and four amazing children, Avery (18), Drew (16), Everett (5), Levi (7 months). And while our community will work to ensure his legacy over the years to come, we all realize the immediate need is to support his family. And we all also realize that those who commit their lives to building a better world often do so with only a promise of a future reward of economic stability.
At this tragic moment for Dwayne’s family, we hope our community will step forward in support of Danielle, Avery, Drew, Everett, and Levi by donating to this fund in his memory. It is a small but important way to honor his life.
A private viewing will be held on Friday from 1 to 3 at the William R. May Funeral Home, 354 Easton Road Glenside, PA 19038. A celebration of Dwayne’s life will be held at 12 pm on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at the Germantown Friends Meeting House, 47 West Coulter Street, 19144. Parking is available in the Germantown Friends School Parking lots and Greene Street Friends School parking lot (corner of School House Lane and Greene Street). Street parking is available as well.
