94 Year Old Mom Needs A Roof!

This GoFundMe effort is for my mother Peggy Landrum. She's a 94 yr old great-grandmother who has been opening her home to my friends, kids, pets and (almost) strangers-in-need for over 50 years.  Even now she is housing my daughter, son-in-love and granddaughter.  She finds herself now in need of a roof for this loving home, since we've recently discovered that leaks have caused interior damage.  This damage had led to health issues for everyone in the house to one degree or another, that can't be addressed fully until the source of the damage is taken care of.  Also Peg is legally blind and doesn't hear too well.  Sometimes her memory fades and she has a number of aches and pains, but she still gets up every day to do what she can for her home, including sweeping and raking her yard.
Replacing the roof and addressing interior damage is a $12,000 dollar job that she isn't able to afford on her pension and social security (she has no more savings), though we've been trying to be as creative as possible; and unfortunately family members are not in a situation to fund it either.  All my life she's been writing checks to charities, giving at her church  and donating her time to non-profits like the local food bank.  At age 94 I think it's time she received for a while.  This project needs to start  NOW.  The burden and worry this funding will relieve is hard to put into words, but it's a daily one she can do without.  The whole family joins me in expressing our gratitude for whatever amount you are able to give; from $1 to $1000.  And we wish you and your loved ones joy and peace in 2018.
