FIRST Robotics Competition Team 930 has qualified for the FIRST St. Louis Championship, and now we need your help.

FRC Team 930 is a competitive robotics team from Mukwonago, WI made up of high school students. 930 competes in the FIRST Robotics Competition, where a challenge is given to thousands of teams of teenage students worldwide. The teams then have a six-week build period to design, prototype, build, test, program, and market their robot. Then, during the following weeks of competition, dozens of events across the world bring teams together to compete to the top.

Team 930 teaches students the fundamentals of STEM in a competitive and professional atmosphere that is unrivaled in other methods of education. The team teaches responsibility, time and resource management, and design skills that prepare students for the workforce while giving them a hands on building experience.
However, being a team is a costly endeavor. 930 builds at least two robots a year that are each up to $4,000, along with thousands more in additional supplies and costs. Then, competitions take multiple thousands of dollars to enter, let alone the transportation and housing costs for the 35+ student team. Without our sponsors, Team 930 would not be able to function.

At the Wisconsin FIRST Regional held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Team 930 started off on a wrong foot being ranked 33th out of 54 at the end of the qualifiers. However, after being picked by the 7th seed to be on an alliance, Team 930 along with Team 5976 and 537 rose through the ranks, defeating the 2nd seed and 6th seed, landing 930 and their alliance in the Finals. After pushing the finals against the 4th seed to a tie-breaker, 930 lost by only 10 points in a very hard-fought match, losing only by a foul.

Team 930 has not been to the finals of any regional since 2007 and has not won its way to championships since 2004. Getting this far has been monumental to the students and mentors of Team 930. However, getting to St. Louis is not going to be easy. The hotels necessary cost thousands of dollars as well as the entry fee into the competition and cost of transportation. Without help, Team 930 may not be able to take all of their students to St. Louis. Please consider making a donation to help the team afford to be able to get their students and mentors to compete against other world class robotics teams!
