Katie's African Library Project

Hi! My name is Katie Gergel, and I'm going to be a senior at Henderson High School in West Chester, PA. For my graduation project, I wanted to combine community service with reading - one of my favorite things to do. I signed up through the African Library Project organization, which - with the collection of 1000 children's books and $500 - will create a small library in Botswana. It would make me so happy to give other children around the world access to books that I got to enjoy myself when I was younger. This amazing project could also help increase literacy rate and be helpful for the kids in the future. With your extremely generous donations, I can get the 1000 books to Botswana, where children can enjoy them and experience the joy of reading, something that everyone deserves!
