Life For Linda Stem Cell Transplant

A story how ALS effected my life, last December 2014, my sister past away unexpectedly I cryed for weeks due to the unknown reason, and also being a sign of ALS, I just arrived in Texas to spend the winter, 2 days into my trip I received the devastating news on Brenda, I couldn't stop crying then my voice started sluring, my family and friends could hardly understand me over the phone, I really didn't think much of it just that I had strained my vocal box, as I really didn't know what they were thinking cause they could not see me? I drove home on April1st, 2015 went to my doctor she was concerned and sent me to several specialist, they diagnosed me with ALS, and sent me to the U of M for a second opinion, the results came back positive again, my mind was numb, but somehow at ease. I have been doing a lot of research myself and there is no cure, I found out about stem cell transplant, and volunteered for other studies, my friends and family want to put together a fund raiser for this procedure of stem cell, it can help in further studies and may help our children of the future with this devastating disease, I feel my life has just found its purpose, my two beautiful grandchildren make me want to live to 100! In this day they need all the comfort and protection they can get, I have wonderful support, I am understanding of God's intention for this happening to me, maybe my purpose is to help with research on to find a cure, help prolong life, giving better quality to life, using this new legitimate technology of stem cell transplant may be a start to help our children of the future not have to suffer due to lack of research? All I can say it's a start to end the suffering of the unknown cause, I'm here to help as God knows my heart is helping others, there is a benefit set up on November 7th at 5:00pm in Brighton Mi, at the American Spirit center, Paul Newman is donating a spaghetti dinner for the cause, we're still looking for opportunities to raise as much possible to help end ALS, I want to thank you for taking the time in reading my story and sharing it others who may be going through the same issues as we have here,
