Helping Children in Venezuela

Donation protected

Helping Children in Venezuela  is a group of Venezuelan volunteers based in Los Angeles, California that gathers non perishable food, medicine, hygiene products, shoes & school supplies to send to the children in need in Venezuela. We host donation drives every 2 to 3 months. We collect the donations, pack them and ship them to Venezuela where we have a team of volunteers who distribute them in the poorer communities, schools, hospitals and to street children. We also collaborate with other non profits.

Since November 2016 we have been helping families from poor communities, supporting malnourished children and babies with formula, milk and supplements, and donating medical supplies and medicine to hospitals. We helped dozens of children return to school by providing supplies in 2017 and 2018. We run programs like “Changing Lives, One Pair Of Shoes At A Time” for children who desperately need it. Every Christmas since 2016, toys and new clothes have been distributed to street children and kids from underprivileged communities . We make social visits, recreational events and prepare food (arepas) to feed those who need it most.

The money collected in this campaign will be used to cover the expenses of packaging and shipping donations from Los Angeles to Venezuela; to fund donation drives in Los Angeles and for logistics for the distributions of the donations in Venezuela. Also to buy medicine, food and other items that are needed to help our children in need.

Follow us on social media and stay connected for updates and events. We’re constantly posting pictures and videos of the whole process here in LA and of the children receiving the donations in Venezuela.

“Venezuela is experiencing a profound humanitarian crisis. Severe shortages of medicines and medical supplies make it extremely difficult for many Venezuelans to obtain essential medical care. And severe shortages of food and other goods make it difficult for many people to obtain adequate nutrition and cover their families’ basic needs.” (Human Right Watch Report).
