Humanitarian Trip to Paraguay this June!

Dear Friends and Family,
My students and I are gearing up for an amazing humanitarian trip at the end of June to Paraguay! It has been my lifelong dream to serve others and I do that every day with the children and adults to whom I teach English and mentor.
My students and I are gearing up for an amazing humanitarian trip at the end of June to Paraguay! It has been my lifelong dream to serve others and I do that every day with the children and adults to whom I teach English and mentor.
This summer, I will finally have a chance to continue my love of serving others in a capacity I have not yet experienced. I would love to receive your support in what will be my FIRST international humanitarian trip through a program called LearnServe International. I will be leading a group of students in performing various service projects for children living in empoverished communities in Paraguay. I'm passionate about my work and love helping kids understand the world around them and what it means to be an active global citizen. This is exactly what we're doing with this trip! However, in order for this to happen, I need your help in raising funds.
LearnServe is an 8 month leadership program that prepares high school students for a 2.5 week service trip, which allows for life-changing experiences, that help put theory into perspective. The group going to Paraguay will participate in service projects that are engaging, and rigorous "“ intellectually, culturally, and physically. We will experience the realities of day-to-day life through peer exchanges and collaborative work with community-based organizations. We'll return home and share what we have learned with our schools and motivate our communities to donate funds, supplies, and other support for communities abroad.
I need your HELP! $2,000 will provide for:
-air and ground transportation
-building materials (ie, paint for murals and beautification projects)
-tools for creating gardens
-school supplies for children
-food/lodging
-hygienic products for health workshops
We may even get to experience the wonders of the Landfill Harmonic, an amazing group of young people who make beautiful music with instruments from the trash around them!
Every dollar counts and I'll keep you updated on the trip's progress which will be from June 21-July 8. I appreciate your taking the time to read this and hope you will consider supporting me in this effort.
