This gofundme account is to raise money for Year 2 of the Farm to Ballet Project- to take place in Summer 2016. Our hope is to develop the ballet further, be able to offer compensation for those who donated their services this year, and ultimately be able to expand our impact ont he agricultural and arts communities.
The Farm to Ballet Project's inaugural year was a huge success! Our seven performances at different farms around Vermont were seen by hundreds of people at each event. It was regularly reflected back to us that we reached our goals of expanding ballet's audience and getting more people out to farms to learn about their local food systems. We also felt the tremendous power of community at each event- united by the joy of Vermont in all of it's love and beauty.
By keeping our project costs low, we were able to raise thousands of dollars for non-profits that honor the arts and sustainable agricultural. This was achieved through gracious donations that allowed us to cover our costs, to countless volunteer hours and through skilled dancers donating their time and energy to a cause that they love!
We hope to expand and develop on this project for Summer 2016 but we need your support!
