Erie's Medical Bills

Meet Erie.

Erie is a 4 month old Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler) puppy. Some of her favorite things include sleeping in awkward positions, chasing anything and everything (including her best friend's (Koda) tail), and giving everyone puppy kisses. She is aspiring to be a therapy dog and will soon start training.

In Erie's four short months in this world, she has already been to the veterinary ER two times. Each time with the same symptoms: bloody diarrhea, vomiting, high fever, and refusing to eat or drink anything. It eventually gets to the point where her stomach will not let anything in or out.

What the Veterinary Hospital has done both times is treat the fever and give her antibiotics. This seemed to make her better each time and we finally thought we were out of the woods. But both times, we were not given a reason on why this keeps happening.

So on the night of February 16th, she started to act very lethargic. We (her owners) didn't really think it was anything serious, especially since she came home from playing with other dogs all day. But the last two days it has gotten worse and is the same thing all over again.

We took her to the vet and that is when they told us we need to take her to the Ohio State Veterinary Clinic (2 hours away from us) because no one in the area has the right tools or test to tell us what is going on with her.

Erie's owners would sell everything if they have to in order to make this little girl healthy again. We aren't people who usually ask for help, but these are trying times and we just want our puppy home and healthy.
